WHOEVER CREATED THIS RESOURCE IS MY LITERAL HERO GET OVER HERE AND LET ME HUG YOU
There's so much to play with, with Hawke being an eldest sibling and Sebastian being a youngest sibling.
Maybe as he was sent to the Chantry, he cursed his brothers, because his parents hung that sword over him for years, he was used to it, but his brothers never said a thing. They never once tried to protect him, never tried to cover up his escapades, never took the fall, not ONCE, not even a plea to get their parents to reconsider. Nothing like what big brothers were supposed to do.
Maybe he did have some happy memories of his brothers as children before responsibility and duty dug their claws in and dragged them way from him. He'd been fleeing from that monster for years ever since, until it came for him, too.
So how does he feel when this person comes to aid in his time of need, and learns that they had two siblings of their own? Maybe everything Hawke did was to protect the twins, maybe they mourn a loss childhood from constant fleeing. Maybe they had nothing but love, where Sebastian had everything but love.
Sebastian could be resentful (I don't think he would ever express that though), envious, or even a little sad. Just all these little things that tear families apart.
Maybe they share in that, mourn the loss of a brief time in the past, where they felt part of a family.
Maybe Hawke hears his story and agrees, no, it shouldn't have been that way. The baby of the family should be showered with love and affection. Is that any comfort, the way things should have been?
Maybe they can fix that together.
Thinking about soft Astarion.
If I get some kind of bad ending with Astarion on my first playthrough, I honestly don't think I'll survive it 😭
I know they are vastly different characters, but as a Dragon age Girlie I can’t help but giggle at the parallels between the men of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the men of DA2 (May contain spoilers):
Anders/Gale: Proud mages who enjoy the company of cats, have connections to mystical spirits, and may have the tendency to makes things go Boom.
Fenris/Astarion: White-haired, hot tempered elves with strange markings who runs away from maniacal possessive slavers, and winds being the players first choice of romance.
Sebastian/Wyll: Wealthy sons who’ve been exiled by their families due to shameful actions, quite righteous in the heart, and their family anguish centered around demonic entities.
peak baldur's gate 3 gameplay is when you're on fire, gale is dead on the floor, lae'zel is completely fucking fine at full health and killing everything that moves, and astarion is also on fire.
and you're wasting a turn gearing up to chuck a bottle of water full speed at his head to resolve that problem.
